In 2009 we had post election clashes in Kenya. This caused a lot of suffering to the country. Families were displaced and a lot of children lost their parents. There was a need to create a home for the displaced children. We decided to take in a few children and started a home for them. All the legal processes were followed. Our aim was to create a home for them as we work on their unification with their families. By 2015 we were able to unify most of the children apart from 2 boys who we are taking care of currently.

The two boys are Dennis Kutel, a 19 year old, in Form 3. Jonah Karanja a 15 year old in
Form 1. Even though there is still a big need of helping children to be placed in a comfortable and safe homes, we were not able to continue with the program due to lack of sponsorship or funding. Working with these children has given us good experience, it has enabled us to leave an impact in their lives. My desire is to have another opportunity to be able to take care of the needy children.
